Primavera

Spring! It's time to refresh, declutter and renew. I have so many plans to fix up, paint and redecorate, my list is ready. It rained all weekend, but a perfect weekend to catch up. We watched movies, made brownies and started our bookclub selection. I finally watched 27 dresses. I cried, I always cry at weddings, don't know why. I also did some shopping on etsy, can't wait to share my finds with you next week.

I'm off again on business, after that no more business travelling until October. I love my home. I love to nest, and hang around with the family. Keep well, enjoy your week everyone.

A crazy week

I've had one of the craziest weeks ever. I'm off on a business trip next Tuesday. I'm organizing a meeting for 60 and even if I've done it before, it's never the same thing. There will always be some obstacles. All that to say, I am so happy I have somewhere to go whenever I need some time for myself. I visit my blogfriends with my cup of coffee. All of you are inspiring and give me the joy of reading what you are up to, thank you! Have a great week everyone!

Woodstock, VT

Quick note before I'm off to work to say I'm back! Last weekend, my 7 girlfriends and I drove to Norwich, VT. We had a fabulous time. Lots of laughs, great memories and some tears too. We drove down to Norwich to meet Jodi Picoult. Her book signing event took place at King Arthur's Flour. Jodi is an amazing person. Check out her website http://www.jodipicoult.com/. We then drove to Woodstock, VT, if you love covered bridges, you have to visit Woodstock. Of course we then stopped at Burlington for some shopping, some of us shopped more than others!

I'll post more photos this week, got to go, I'm late for work!

High and Low

Picture www.bhg.com

What a crazy day! The kids are in bed and I finally have some alone time. Every night before bed, I always ask everyone what was their "high and low". Daniel's "high" for today - he walked to school all by himself (my version, I dropped him off in front of the school, he walked through the school's front doors since the kindergarten doors were closed). Yep, I was late this morning, with all this snow, I couldn't find parking! His "low" was that he couldn't play outside after I picked him up from school. (My version, ahhhhhh supper is ready)!
Okay so for my "high" today, I went back home after I dropped Daniel off and had my second cup of coffee and breakfast in peace before work. My low, my best friend at work is leaving. I cried. I'm really happy for her, she's starting her own company, but who will I talk when I need someone to listen? I guess I will have to add her on speed dial.
In other news, looks like I'll be very busy this weekend. Between laundry and cleaning, I have to bake pizzelle's for Tanya's high school project, (long story) and bake cupcakes for Daniel's bake sale on Monday. I also want to bake some ricotta cookies for Palm Sunday's lunch at my in-laws. Yay, I just remembered, I have a bookclub meeting on Friday! Who needs therapy I have a bookclub.
By the way, it's still snowing outside......

Okay, that's enough!

It snowed all weekend here! Hubbie and I are back from Vegas. We had such a great time, lots of great restaurants, lots of shopping and enjoyed the sunshine too. We stayed 2 nights at the Wynn Hotel and 2 nights at the MGM Signature. We were treated like royalty.

Tanya and Daniel loved visiting Ninnina and Nonno, Ninnina is a great cook!

It's back to school on Monday, so I am getting things organized, lots to do, laundry and unpacking.

Keep warm!

Blue & White

I just love transferware (picture from bhg.com). I am really looking forward to spring, especially the opening of Antique Markets. On my list: a red transferware tureen, a needlepoint parlour chair and some tole trays. In other news, did you know about this website; http://www.swaptree.com/, you can exchange books like a book swap, trade DVD's and games too, it's amazing!
So my friends, it looks like we're getting more snow tomorrow, sigh!
enjoy your weekend!
